A look back at the International Housing and Home Warranty Association (IHHWA) hosted by NHBC in London.
From 8 to 10 October 2024, NHBC hosted this international meeting bringing together experts in home warranty insurance and housebuilding from around the world to share best practice, challenges and opportunities for new home warranty providers and compare approaches to the changing nature of homebuilding and wider innovations.
The agenda included discussions on global housing markets, economic outlooks, Insurance and reinsurance approaches, with external speakers presenting on the ten-year liability insurance around the world. Technical risk management and improving construction quality through data and NHBC’s training and consultancy approach, and climate change impacts and opportunities and how insurers can adapt in response to the physical and transition risks for housebuilding. A huge thank you to all participants at the IHHWA meeting for that fantastic contributions:

NHBC during this visit also visited British Offsite Limited for a tour of their innovative factory and showcasing their products on site at Weston Homes’ Abbey Quay development.
Further meetings will be held in 2025 and discussions are already in planning for the next one.
